When people decide they have had enough of being sick, or uncomfortable in their own skin, the actions they take within the first 30 days will either create, new healthy, lasting habits to build on for the rest of their lives, or they will create circumstances that will barely last 30 days, let alone a lifetime. And usually leave them worse off than when they started.
Here are some examples of the ‘all-or-nothing’ approach that often ends in cravings, bingeing, exhaustion and injury, the need for a break, etc. Some examples of small, quality changes you can make and still be comfortable enough to continue for an extended period of time.
Remember: Start small and build over time. Don’t give up because you mess up. Something in the right direction, no matter how small, is better than nothing.
