- CrossFit Trainer Intern
One of my favorite quotes: Imagine what you can do if you do all you can.
I’m a Colorado native and grew up in a small town in the western part of the state. I spent most of my time playing sports, weightlifting and hiking the Colorado peaks throughout southwestern Colorado. I attended Mesa State College in Grand Junction where I studied Criminal Justice and later began a career as a police officer, where I proudly served my community for 20 years. My interest in law enforcement began with a desire to help others. After retiring from law enforcement, I wanted to continue to serve and contribute to my community. Being a CrossFit coach allows me to combine my two greatest passions: helping others by making a positive difference and living a healthy lifestyle by staying physically active.
When I started training at the Grail as a client in 2017, I instantly felt like I was home. This is because the environment includes an amazing community of awesome owners, coaches, and athletes. As a client training at the Grail, I constantly saw measured results with new personal records on lifts, improved mobility and strength. I lost weight, gained noticeable muscle and most importantly, I noticed my attitude, patience, and mental health greatly improved.
I personally love the constantly varied functional movements of CrossFit, but equally enjoy cheering on and seeing other athletes accomplish new PR’s and movements. As such, I’m excited to join as a coach at CrossFit Grail and continue my fitness journey with you all as an athlete and now also as a coach in our community.
My QUEST: To defy age. I want to redefine what it means to age by having the energy to be active and present in the lives of my four children (and future grandchildren). I want to enjoy retirement in good health with the ability to travel the world with my incredible wife.
