I spent most of my life being somewhat active and enjoying a daily exercise program, but always battled with maintaining my weight and struggled to lose the same 25 pounds over and over. Several years ago, I started having debilitating pain and fatigue but kept pushing through to stay active and maintain some sense of normalcy of life. I researched more deeply into how nutrition affects the body processes and started applying those principles to my life. And as I stagnated with my same exercise routine, I slowly started applying functional fitness elements and quickly felt stronger and more in control of my health issues.
After finally being diagnosed with a chronic illness, I was told that if I had not been as active as I was and if I had not gone to a mostly whole foods way of eating, I would be close to incapacitated. This gave me the spark to learn all that I can about the effects of diet on a person’s health and I wanted to be able to share this knowledge. I know first-hand that a sound and individualized eating plan is the foundation to all health-related goals and is the way to get the most out of your CrossFit and BootCamp classes to see real results. I am so excited to be able to help everyone on their Quest to real health and fitness.
My Quest: To keep traveling to exotic locals around the world where I can scuba dive, hike through rainforests, climb to the top of volcanoes, ride horses through plantations, venture into bat caves, and absorb new and different cultures.
