We are still hoping that summer will arrive soon – enough of the gloomy afternoons and windy hailstorms! At least it was a beautiful Memorial Day for the CrossFit Grail 3rd Annual “MURPH” Hero Workout to honor Lt. Michael P. Murphy and all of those who gave their lives serving our great country. Thank you to all the Grail Athletes and visitors who worked out with us, then enjoyed a Pancake Brunch Potluck, social time and helped with the clean-up!
We know that it can be difficult to stay motivated with your workouts and nutrition during the summer. But we have quite a bit planned for you to keep up with the fun all summer long! Check out the Events & Happenings by visiting our Facebook page or scheduling your FREE Intro Session!
In the meantime, here are some tips to keep you motivated:
- Focus on your goals: Remember why you have committed to your fitness and don’t let a missed day turn into missed week. Need to set new goals? Schedule a FREE Goal Setting Session here.
- Plan & Plan: Your regular nutrition and class schedule can get disrupted when the kids are out of school. Add your workouts to your calendar like any other appointment and stick to it. Log your meals in MyFitness Pal so you know exactly what you are eating each day.
- Get outside for some fresh air! Enjoy some active recovery outdoors – hike, bike, run & play with your kids.
- Enjoy your vacation, but don’t let everything go. Check out our Travel WOD’s in the FB Community Page and put those on your travel schedule. Maybe drop into a Box if one is near your vacation location. Focus on 80/20 with your nutrition. Eat on plan 80% of the time, but allow yourself 20% to indulge. That means either one meal or snack per day. Don’t let summer take away all your hard work.
I hope this helps you stay on track this summer! Enjoy every minute of it, while still focusing on your health and fitness goals at the Grail!
